Clothes closet declutter
I am going to ask you only one question: do you know who lives in your closet? Are you aware if you do have more than 3 black little dresses and are you sure that you have never bought anything in pink? Think twice and wise and when you are done with your confessions, let’s do some job – in your wardrobe. This is a huge job, because who could have known that such a small piece of furniture can actually gather so many clothes, accessories and underwear. So, are you ready for some clothes closet declutter, because the changing seasons do require it?

  • Find a good strategy to tidy up and find faster. I would say mixing the clothes by colour, but you may not like your wardrobe to look a second-hand store. So, it is all up to you. To me, the best way to organise your clothes is arranging them by occasions. Something like that – office outfit – checked, party night – checked, and etc.
  • Store the winter and all the late autumn items somewhere out of your wardrobe. I do realise that rain does not go away with the spring, but you may hang one raincoat and that is all. Things like fluffy scarves, gloves, extra heating leggings and hats with pom poms need to go to the basement, the pantry or in a box. Label it winter and deal with the mess.
  • Have you ever tried to figure out the tactic that your regular expert cleaners put everything in an order? Let me tell you something – there is no tactic, but there is patience and logic. Find your own logic and keep it. The secret is in keeping it.
  • Manage the underwear and the accessories at once. You will not believe it from now, but during the process, you will come to the following conclusion – that cabinet next to your bed is still empty, why not using it for the bras and find some extra spare space for the T-shirts?
  • Before storing the clothing items back to the shelves in your closet, disinfect it thoroughly! All you need is to draw your hand across the surfaces and get motivated! This dust should get away and those stains must be cleansed as soon as possible. Wardrobe declutter, when seasons change, after all, is a part of your regular home cleaning, right?
The better you store your clothes, the nicer they will look for longer!
