Bake turkey
Roasted turkey is one of the most classical receipts in the history of the cooking. In the same time turkey’s meat is one of the most recommended for healthy eating and diets. Almost every person who has tried to bake a turkey has an opinion about how this should be made. But the one that follows is probably the best and the most simple.

  • Stuffed or not? This is one of the main questions. Many people may tell you that stuffing takes part of the turkey’s flavor and you won’t be able to taste it fully. Right the opposite indeed – stuffing will add some more exciting flavors and will help the chicken to remain soft during the baking process.

  • What to put inside? As turkey meat is very tender and not very distinctive in taste, you need something to spice the things up. What can do this better than Spanish salami? Indeed chorizo because it is spicy, fatty and will add to the great texture of the flavor. Add also onion, thyme and cooked beans without the liquid.  And then let the stuffing begins.

  • How to fill it? Easiest way is with spoon. Carefully not to spill the filling on the floor because now everything is soaked in the oily sauce of the chorizo that can cause great damages on the rugs around. Keep in mind that steam carpet cleaning may help with oily stains, but it’s not 100% sure if the stains are big and very persistent. But back to the bird, stuff it literally by pressing the content, this will ease the baking. When you are done take a whole lemon, wash it and put it as a tap on the opening. Push it inside and pull the legs and the skin around to keep it in.

  • The liquid. After you have filled the bird and have spread some olive oil, salt, paprika and black pepper on it, it’s time to put it in the oven. Pour water and white wine in the pan and place the turkey inside. Cover with foil and bake for one hour on one hundred eighty degrees, then remove the foil and bake half hour more to make the skin crispy. Make gravy from the sauce and the lemon that was inside the turkey.

  • Serve. Take out the stuffing and place it in a bowl, cut the turkey and put the gravy in suitable jug. With gravy you should be even more careful than with the filling. Once it gets spilled, it is almost impossible to be cleaned even by professional upholstery cleaners.

Roasted turkey is one amazing dish – healthy and not so complicated for preparing. Use it often, don’t leave it only for celebrations. Who knows who you may impress with it?
